  • Should you keep Bakery Bread in fridge?

Admin recently wrote a review about local bakery BreadTalk: http://bakerro.com/articles/205-bakery-review-breadtalk

..and this got me thinking whether you can keep bakery bread fresher by keeping it in the fridge since it slows down the process of the bread keeping state..

Not sure about this, any thoughts?

It is true that the quality of your bread's freshness decreases once you have bought it from your nearest bakery, but at the same time, it depends on where you store at your bread.

Storing your bread in the lower half of your fridge would result in your bread getting stale faster, but keeping it in the freezer slows down that process.

Unless you're planning to keep your bread for a long period of time (more than 3 days), then wrap your bread in plastic and place it in the freezer. Cut the bread into portions before freezing and you can reheat using the microwave when you take it out of the freezer.
